Bacterial pathogen survival in karstic groundwater (SENSAAS Project)
JOB TITLE | Post-Doc – Bacterial pathogen survival in karstic groundwater (SENSAAS Project) |
EMPLOYER | UBFC – 32 avenue de l’Observatoire – 25000 BESANCON |
LOCATION | Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté, UFR Sciences et Techniques CNRS UMR 6249 Chrono-Environnement 16 route de Gray, F-25 030 Besançon Cedex, France |
CONTRACT DURATION | 15 months |
DEADLINE APPLICATION | 30/04/2021 |
STARTING JOB | 01/09/2021 |
JOB DESCRIPTION | The postdoctoral work will be part of SENSAAS (SENSors and Analyses for AquiferS) transdisciplinary research consortium 2021-2024. This large collaborative project at the regional level involves several partner laboratories and propose to develop innovative sensors and to strengthen the analytical capacities of UBFC platforms for micropollutants analysis (microplastics, organic matter, antibiotics, biocides and trace metals) in groundwater.
The post-doctoral offer concerns the fisrt part of the project and will focus on the link between the quantification of antibiotic resistant bacteria (BRA) and the dosage of most consumed antibiotics (ATB) in karstic groundwater. More particularly, he/she will determine whether different clones of multi-drug resistant pathogens (E. coli, K. pneumoniae, P. aeruginosa) have similar survival characteristics in a network of karstic groundwater and which factors (antibiotics, abiotic factors, metal trace elements) influence this survival. Experimental applications will be held on Jurassic Karst and AUVERWATCH observation systems (Research Infrastructure OZCAR, RZA, eLTER). |
