lineages.<\/em><\/a> Journal of Experimental Botany, in press &#8211; doi: 10.1093\/jxb\/erz088<\/p><p>Le monoxyde d\u2019azote (NO) est un m\u00e9diateur physiologique produit par l\u2019essentiel des organismes dont les plantes et est impliqu\u00e9 dans de nombreux processus biologiques. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de David Wendehenne a pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les plantes terrestres ne poss\u00e8dent pas d\u2019oxyde nitrique synthase (NOS), la principale enzyme catalysant le NO chez les animaux. En revanche cette prot\u00e9ine est pr\u00e9sente chez quelques algues d\u2019eau douce et marines mais, compar\u00e9e \u00e0 ces homologues animales, pr\u00e9sente des singularit\u00e9s structurales1,2. Dans le cadre du projet ISITE NOISELESS, nous avons recherch\u00e9 si le module de signalisation cellulaire NO\/GMP cyclique (GMPc) tr\u00e8s bien caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 chez les animaux \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent chez les plantes. Dans ce module, le NO active par m\u00e9tal-nitrosylation la guanylate cyclase soluble (GCs) qui catalyse la synth\u00e8se de GMPc. En retour, le GMPc module l\u2019activit\u00e9 de canaux r\u00e9gul\u00e9s par les nucl\u00e9otides cycliques (CNGC) et\/ou active des prot\u00e9ines kinases GMPc-d\u00e9pendantes (PKG). Cette voie est contr\u00f4l\u00e9e n\u00e9gativement par des phosphodi\u00e9st\u00e9rases (PDE) d\u00e9gradant le GMPc en GMP et joue un r\u00f4le essentiel dans divers processus physiologiques tels que la neurotransmission ou la relaxation musculaire. Nos r\u00e9sultats indiquent que dans le r\u00e8gne v\u00e9g\u00e9tal, seuls quelques homologues de GCs, de PKG, de CNGC et de PDE existent dans quelques algues mais leur pr\u00e9sence n\u2019est pas corr\u00e9l\u00e9 \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence de NOS. Au contraire, la nitroso-glutathion r\u00e9ductase (GSNOR) contr\u00f4lant le taux de GSNO, un agent majeur de la S-nitrosation des prot\u00e9ines (une modification post-traductionnelle de prot\u00e9ine NO-d\u00e9pendante), a \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on r\u00e9currente3. <br \/>L\u2019ensemble de ces r\u00e9sultats montrent que chez les plantes le NO n\u2019exerce pas ses fonctions signal\u00e9tiques via une voie NO\/GMPc. Ils cl\u00f4turent ainsi un d\u00e9bat r\u00e9current d\u2019une vingtaine d\u2019ann\u00e9e pendant lesquelles plusieurs \u00e9quipes ont apport\u00e9 des arguments supportant l\u2019existence d\u2019une voie NO\/GMPc chez les plantes sans toutefois parvenir \u00e0 le d\u00e9montrer formellement. De plus ils supportent le concept que la S-nitrosation est un processus ubiquitaire de signalisation cellulaire d\u00e9pendant du NO.<\/p><ol><li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Jeandroz et al. 2016.
